Terms of Service

IFVG is a journaling tool. Nothing in the app, its checklists, calculators, emails, share cards, help pages or anything produced by its language-model features is investment, financial, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Trading futures, options, forex and other leveraged products carries a high risk of loss, including more than your initial deposit. Past results, including your own journal, do not predict future results. Simulated or “funded” prop-firm accounts are often not live markets. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes.

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at contact@ifvg.app if you think someone else has access.

You keep ownership of everything you write or upload: notes, trades, reflections and chart images. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only to run IFVG for you, including sending the text of a quick log to our language-model provider to fill in your checklist, and showing it to people you choose to share it with. We don't sell your journal and we don't use it for advertising.

Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful, abusive or that contains someone else's private information.

You decide what to share: share cards, and (on Plus) a private mentor link to a range of your journal for a limited time. Anyone you send a link to can read what it covers until it expires or you turn it off. We aren't responsible for what people you share with do with what they saw, so share only with people you trust.

Quick logs use a third-party language model to read your words and fill in fields. It can be wrong. Always check what was filled in; the journal shows it so you can correct it. Chart images are not sent to the model.

Don't try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, get around plan limits or rate limits, access other people's data, resell access, or use IFVG to break the law or the rules of a broker or prop firm. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and remove content that breaks these terms.

The journal is free to use. Plus is a paid subscription that adds more quick logs and chart images and Plus features such as mentor sharing. Plus is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Me → Plan & billing; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Prices and limits are shown before you pay and may change for future periods with notice.

If a charge was a mistake or the service didn't work for you, contact us through Help → Talk to us or at contact@ifvg.app and we'll put it right. Refunds are at our discretion, and we may decline where a paid period has been substantially used or a refund was already given for the same subscription. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law where you live.

Please talk to us before opening a chargeback; it is slower for you, and a chargeback for a payment already refunded delays the money rather than speeding it up.

We work to keep IFVG running and your data backed up, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Features may change, and we may stop offering parts of the service. Export your journal anytime from Me → Backup.

To the fullest extent the law allows, IFVG is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You can delete your account anytime from Me → Account; this removes your journal permanently. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using IFVG after that means you accept the new terms.
